We have been trying to warn Jefferson County of the corruption in Jefferson County.  We announced 2 weeks ago what the Commission had planned to do with the non-sewer and sewer folks.

We're growing stronger every day.  We are now turning the tables on these corrupt, criminal crooks.  You can email us at:  crisisinthecounty@yahoo.com .  First, check out our site:  www.crisisinthecounty.com

This is crazy!!! NO I WILL NOT PAY SEWER TAX!!! This is why I am on septic. Sewer prices are to high. Send me a bill for something I do not use or have and they will get a letter from my attorney!!! You can not charge a person for a service they do not have. That would be like the cable co, phone co, or power co charging someone that doesn't have their service. This is STUPID!!! And so is the idiot that thought this up!!!

The only way I will agree to pay for the use of my septic tank is if they agree when it needs pumping or get clogged they will pay for it. I guess next will be the people that have their own well for water will have to pay for that too. They all need to go take classes on how to budget the people's money instead of putiing it in their pockets and then making us pay for their theivery.

We expected an uprising...

unfortunately, a lawsuit is all that will protect you from them putting a lien on your property.

This country was founded on the princple of no taxation without representation.
If they want a revolution the will get one.
The power of the vote is absolute

So far I have seen only one commissioner speaking out in the media in favor of this and that is Sheila Smooth. Comes as no surprise since she is on the system and hopes to lower her bill at the expense of those not on the system.

Once they get their fangs into those of us not on the system they will bleed us dry just as they do the ones on the system.

It is time for a real fix to this mess. A call by the citizens of Jefferson County that the current Commission be removed from and barred from running for the office again.

We need new leadership not an illegal unjust fee placed upon those not using the system.

I encourage all non users of the system to let your voice me heard in emails, phone calls, and letters to the Legislature and/or your Congress-person in DC.

Whom ever thought of this has completely lost their minds. You can not charge for a service not used. It is illegal. Jefferson County will end up just like Downtown Birmingham, deserted.....except for the crooks. If there is a class action law suit, sign me up.

You got it! Email us at crisisinthecounty@yahoo.com Our list is growing by the minute...

Zeran, I understand what you're saying. We sent a petition to Sue Bell Cobb with over 300 signatures--she tossed it. Emails? We have been sending emails to Riley, Vowell and (General) Commissioner Bowman. Bowman is the ONLY commissioner that has been responsive in an honest way. It's no wonder that Vowell ordered an ILLEGAL special election! With Bowman in there, we have the opportunity to dissolve the corruption.

We exposed the septic/sewer issue on our website several days ago. What to expect? It's not good. They have a "proposal"-

By the way, we ARE NOT making any money off the website. We are not selling "goods" and we're not asking for donations. We have been accused of being self-serving. Okay, we'll take that, because the ones that were elected to "serve and protect" us are not.

We are not trying to make money off of the county for our own personal monetary gain. We want to be protected from these monsters.

We ask that you all unite and protest this disaster.

I hear you support the idea of septic tank users having to pay a sewer fee. LADY, YOU HAVE LOST YOUR FREAKIN MIND~!!!!! Use your head you idiot, I AM NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING I DON HAVE!!. smoot, you need to go, you need to have your butt thrown off the county commision. For everyone else who reads this, we need to start a petition to get rid of these fools ( langford, smoot, bell, collins) the sooner they are all gone, the better off we will all be! Add a Comment

The bond insurers want the citizens who do not benefit from the sewer to pay so they won't have to. The gladly took the exhorbitant fees in exchange for the risk so they should be the ones paying, not the people who don't even have the option of sewer services. Claiming that we are paying for clean water is a joke.

TAX THE POLITICIANS !!!
We already pay for clean water.
We really need to get rid of these clowns. They all try to be absolute rulers.

tj--The petitions don't work. How about we gather your comments through letters and hand-deliver to Troy King, or better yet, Bob Riley?

Email address above...

We have been trying to expose this to the public. Herein lies the problem--the politicians rule what the media releases. It is now so big, though, that they can't shut us up, even though the presiding judge of Jefferson County, Vowell, has issued illegal "gag" orders.

How stupid does Sheila Smoot think we are. To pay for services we are not receiving. If I were that stupid I would be Mayor of B'ham.

Sheila's not too popular this evening...

We are not politicians or attorneys trying to line our pocketbooks. We are citizens--moms, dads, teachers, nurses, carpenters, pilots, etc. Some of us can afford the outrageous demands, but none feel compelled to cow down to this abuse of power.

As we say in the sight, we need to get rid of all of this raw sewage.

We want to hear from you!

Teresa, thanks.

Email us at crisisinthecounty@yahoo.com. A class action suit is the only thing that will make these crooks accountable. The problem with petitions, emails, letters, etc., is that they are not acknowledged. If they are, you will be blown off with empty promises.

The law is a good thing, when followed. These folks think that they're "above the law"--

We the people, have an obligation to stop this, and we can. It will take more and more citizens for this to not "go away"---and believe you me, they don't want us to talk.

Alabama State Bar threatens to sue Crisisinthecounty.com! It appears that corrupt judges, politicians and lawyers don't like the exposure.
