I was watching a newscast today on some channel and one of the talking heads was saying that A voter I.D. law was racist and partial to white voters. How do you figure? I don't understand! unless they told you you could'nt vote because you are black, latino, oriental or whatever, just wanting to see your I.D. is not racist niether disenfranchising, they just need to know who you are.My Dad passed away about 2 weeks before the 2000 election,I went to vote and they ask my name, well I am a jr. so we have the same name.and his was still on the voters log,and since I had lived with my dad before he died,we also had the same adress.I could have easily went back later in the day and cast a vote for a dead man.thats why we need voter ID laws and strong ones demanding a photo ID to vote.It is not racist so shut up,show your photo ID or get one,and shut up and vote.

When I registered to vote I received an voter registration card in the mail a week or so later. It stated my name, address, my party affiliation, my district and the location of my place to vote. Okay now that I have established the FACT that there is a voters registration card, why not put the voters picture on it? That would be fair. So if you do not have a DL or any other form of picture ID the voting card would have your photo on it, and your voting eligibility would have already been established. Then if a person is registered to vote all they would need to do is to show their voters registration card with the photo on it. After all the registrars office is already generating a card. That way no one could cry foul or whine because they have no picture id.

In the State of Alabama a bill with your name on it is good enough.but if I am a poll worker how do I know it's really you.I support Photo Id only.no exeptions

Wolfie is right they could easily put a person's picture on the voter registration and at no cost to the voter, then no one could say I can't afford an State ID, or I can't get one. Have a separate voter registration card with your picture on it, HEY Mexico does it! Are we not as smart?

I think your Mexican voter ID is goin’ to get past some of the Poll workers—lots of sympathetic folk out there and lots afraid to ask that question..
But, hey, here’s an ID for you, six bucks for the picture, six weeks to process it, six county employees to handle it and six minutes to lose it. Heck! The sign ought ‘a say, NO ID NO VOTE- NO Espanol. If you don’t have ANY valid ID you don’t vote—any valid picture ID, that is!
Ain’t their rules about wanderin’ around polling places without ID? Who don’t already have picture ID? If you don’t have picture ID then stick your finger into blue ink if you can prove your citizenship without a picture ID, that would keep it to one vote per person, or put your thumb print on it like AmSouth Bank makes you do to cash a check on them (even with an ID)! Heck! The problem is just getting someone to drag us out of the Stone Age...
Hoppy-t-hop-hop, hoppy-t-hop-hop….

I am a 36 year old college graduate!Raised in Gardendale Alabama I'm ROLLTIDE all the way.Photography is my passion, and that is how I make my living. When I'm not out taking pictures I'm working from home.I went to New Orleans in 1989 after high school graduation and stayed there until I moved back to Bama in 2000,during that time I worked with several TV and radio stations in southeast Louisiana and for 5 years I was known as noshamejamezzz on 860 A.M. Bayou talk with Jamezzz at sunrise.I've been called mean and cruel but I hate stupidity, unequality, and racism in any form. And I despise hate groups, I am very vocal.I am a straight forward kind of guy,I call it like I see it,and I don't beat around the bush, and sometimes have a dry sense of humor. If my opinions or views offend someone thats just tough,I will apoligize if I am wrong but if not hang it up.I have 2 teenagers, boy and girl who are the lights of my life.and I have 4 pets.My Grandma would always ask me when I'd misbehave as a child, boy have you no shame while she was spanking my rear, thats where I get my user name.I am a Southern Democrat, but I do have values and I beleive in God, and I am well versed in the Bible, but I am not a Bible toting holy roller.I love good bourbon, scotch, good cigars and Alabama Football.and I'm proud to be Southern Born and Southern Bred
