When you think of spring time you usually think of pretty flowers,Cool breasy day's,pollen, bad sinuses, baseball whatever. But you usually don't think of these varments, but yes they are already lurking about. This scoundrel I found the other day cutting grass,I was scared at first so I called my girlfriend to bring my pistol and my camera, any other time it would have been around my neck, but anyway my daughter in law poked at it with a stick and it rared up,my girlfriend snapped the picture, and then I promptly removed his head with a 357 snubby. But all my pals out there be careful and watch where your walking outside. Also I found this devil under some outside kids toy's so checked your yard good before letting your kids out to play. And what got me is this thing did'nt try to get away it stood it's ground.Don't have a clue what kind of rattler it was and don't care.the only good snake is a dead one.

Rattle Snake are known for "standing there ground" and sometimes it's from sheer fear. But in early spring, ALL snakes, being cold-blooded, are very very slow due to them coming out of hybernation. This info I learned from growing up on a farm from my grandfather. I too agree that a dead snake is the best snake. Remember though that poisinous snakes and non-poisinous snakes never mix territories and if you iradicate the non-posinous ones, the poisinous ones will be all over your yard. When we first moved in our current home, we were overrun with snakes (even IN the house, so we did some studying and now run a cat sactuary as snakes are terrified of cat's because a cat will hunt them down and "play" with them to the death and rarely does the cat get bitten. It worked. Not a single snake since. If you have kids, I can hook you up with some well trained beautiful kitty cats.

LOL @ Jamezzzzz!!!!

My grass in my backyard was SUPER tall and I finally had my lawn guy come out and cut Monday evening. This is precisely what I was thinking about everytime I peeked out of my window and saw that grass.....but you know, I'm a busy girl, and it just kept raining and raining and raining and raining, and before I knew it, it was out of control! Li'l ole me could not go out and handle it......thank God for yard guys!!!!

Hi Roxxane thanks for the comment.and your a cat lover me to I have 8 of the critters.2 females and 3 newborn kittens in the house,2 Toms or loverboys as I call them out side, and my girlfriends brother's cat that we are sitting for cause their house caught fire but she stay's on the screened in porch cause she tends to growl and bite.and I've been bit by a cat before and got a nasty infection and spent 2 day's in the hospital being pumped full of antibiotics.I still love cats but I'm not going to be foolish and let one bite me again.so that kitty stay's on the porch.Actually she a dark gray cat and it is nice and sunny outthere she has food and a litter box so she's probably loving it.SEE YA JAMEZZZ
