AL GORE ON SIXTY MINUTES

Did you happen to catch 60 Minutes Sunday night? Al and Tipper were again pushing their agenda on global warming. Al showed several examples of disappearing ice and snow around the world. If you payed attention he did not offer any scientific evidence to support any of the outlandish claims he is making. He would have to go back about a million years and study the changing earth, like some scientist have done to prop up his doomsday predictions with fact. If he did go back a million years in history he would see that there are natural cycles the earth has been going through for billions of years. If you noticed when questioned, good old Al had nothing to say but global warming is obvious. The only thing that is obvious is the fact that after Al Gore was defeated in his presidential bid, he was worth about two (2) million. After he was awarded his bogus Nobel Prize and collected on his documentary, he was worth thirty eight (38) million. Now he has rolled all his profit back into his enterprise to produce commercials to further influence what he perceives as the ignorant general population. He has hired the same marketing firm that created the caveman and Geico lizard commercials. Even without a shred of concrete evidence he continues with his charade in order to capatalize on some very easy money at our expense. He claims that there are just a handfull of people who have not bought into his claims. That is also a myth. There was recently a paper created and signed by over four hundred well known scientist around the world who do not buy into his claims, but actually claim that he has no idea what he is talking about. Would'nt common sense tell you that if this was as catastrophic as Al would want you to beleive, that the scientific community would have been all over this years ago? Sooner than later, Al Gore will be exposed for what he is, an opportunistic rich guy who is searching for a legacy to leave behind. If Al really wants to make a difference in the world, he should at least gather a true representation of the scientific community and show us some real proof of what he claims. My money is on the scientist who says he has no idea. His money is on you the ignorant general population that will believe any spin that Al and the media puts out there. Do your research and don't be taken by this guy. He is betting millions that he can sell ice to eskimos and so far he probably can. He reminds me of a used car salesman I used to know.

It is said that there's a fool born every minute and the older I get, the more I believe it. Anyone who could believe that our planet, our environment or our weather is static and never changing is, indeed, a fool. Does Gore's 18,000 sq. ft. residence tell you anything? Like maybe he's a charlatan!

What do you expect from the man who claimed he invented the internet!? As for him reminding you of a used car salesman, DUHHH he's a politian! SAME THING only you don't even get the lemon!

Lord Christopher Monckton, a policy advisor for former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during the 1980s, had this to say about the subject.

"The alarmists are alarmed, the panic mongers are panicking, the scare mongers are scared; the Gores are gored. Why? Because global warming stopped ten years ago; it hasn't got warmer since 1998," he points out. "And in fact in the last seven years, there has been a downturn in global temperatures equivalent on average to about [or] very close to one degree Fahrenheit per decade. We're actually in a period ... of global cooling."

bamafun1, This is what is so alarming to me. Al Gore is pressing this issue with a public that never pays attention until something hits them in the pocket. The big problem is that the public has no idea how this is already affecting their pocket. Fuel mileage in automobiles, EPA standards being raised fueling higher consumer prices, world trade, and many others that I am unaware of will inevidably affect our everyday life and finances. No one, not even Nobel Prize winning Al Gore invest millions into anything without some kind of guaranteed return. It is pure economics. Another thing is obvious that he is manipulating the public through the most sure fire way possible, the media. Uncle Bob and Aunt Carrol watching the evening news with their favorite anchor observes the ads, believes this, and calls their insurance agent the next morning to update their flood insurance. Al has not left out anyone. He has Pat Robinson and Al Sharpton sitting on the beach and actually agreeing that this is something they both believe. I do not think that either of these individuals have any degrees in earth science. They are there for the effect. It is a crying shame with all the educational opportunities we have in this country available to anyone who has the willpower to go for it, to have a population of plain unadulterated "dumb gullible" people.

I BELEIVE THERE IS SOME SORT OF CORUPTION AT ALMOST EVERY LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE TO ANY MAYORS OFFICE. I BELEIVE ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS SHOULD BE HELD TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILTY FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW WHEN THEY ARE CAUGHT. STEPPING DOWN SHOULD NOT MEAN EXEMPTION FROM PROSECUTION BUT SHOULD EXPIDITE THEIR GUILT. I BELEIVE THE GOVERNMENT HAS A FULL PLATE BEFORE THEM WITHOUT TRYING TO RULE AS IF THEY WERE A HIGHER POWER OVER ME. DO YOUR JOB AND STAY OUT OF MY LIFE. KEITH MASON
