Senator Obama can talk a good talk.   He said he had not been in Washington long enough to lie.  Maybe not intentionally but he did the same thing every politician has ever done.    He has promised to do more in 4 years than he can possibly get done.  He has literally promised us "the world".  Wow!   It would be nice to see him live up to it but like I said he doesnt have enough time.  It will take him 3 of the 4 years to get people to quit arguing in Washington and threatening and bullying with votes and blocking all the good he says he can do.   How many times have we heard the young, fired up politicians that want to show the "old guys" how it is done.  Young thinking is amazing, outstanding and a lot of wishing.   It takes some time and growth to pull off what he is promising.  Amazing how he stirs up the things in us that have faltered so long.  But, has he been in Washington just long enough?

I agree with you. Promises are all fine and good, just enough to get you elected...but like you said it cannot be done alone. I don't think he really has a clue what he is getting into. I'd like to see an older, more experienced person elected...but sorry to say, I personally have not been blown away by ANYONE running...not enough to trust our county to.

Ladyrebel, I'm in the same boat as you. When the primaries come next week, I don't have a clue who to vote for.....

Obama has got a lot of people fooled. He does all this talk about bringing everyone together- is that even possible in the US? And "everyone" encompasses a lot of people. Quite frankly, I don't want to be brought together with those people of Islamic faith....like himself.....

The older I get the more vocal I get about news items. It amazes me that people can do some of the things that make news headlines. I wish that we could get over "political correctness" and maybe help stop some of this before it happens. You can't condone everything that happens or try to reason it finding something to blame it on. Some things need to be black and white and no gray. It would be no problem for me to see some folk pay for their crimes without making the rest of us feel guilty that they did. Just putting my two cents worth in.
