The story today of a mother losing her life but her baby is left for someone to raise is a grim reminder that something has to wake us up. People have got to learn to settle problems with something besides guns and knives. Does everybody walking the streets have one or the other on them?
Are we going to become housebound afraid to leave it? There has to be a sensible way to change the thinking of our citizens. Man, we just cant kill because it seems the thing to do. God help us all.

I'm not going to keep myself or my kids locked down like we are some criminals. I pray that GOD covers us as we leave and return to our home and still protect us even there. You never know who and what is going on within someones mind. GOD didnt give us fear he gave us faith and I know sometimes we do have fear but you must trust your savior, that he will protect you.

I was speaking in general because that is all we hear. I do the same as you. I found out in Dec that I have to have a year of treatment for breast cancer and that has taken a lot of fear away from me. God is my strength. There just seems to be so much senseless stuff that I was just wondering out loud.. Thanks for the reminder and the responses

This woman was stabbed over a man. One woman is dead and the other has a murder charge. He's somewhere free and breathing. Frankly, the woman who was killed should have never gone to the other woman's house to confront her about a man PERIOD. I am not justifying the murderer's actions, but some of these murders could be stopped by the victim by being a little bit more smart about the things they do and the company they keep. I mean, come on!

My prayers go out to this victim's family. There are children that no longer have their mothers & I pray that these children that are left behind can break the chain of violence within their family & community. This struck a cord with me. The young man that murdered my brother was having a verbal confrontation with another young man over his ex-girlfriend. My brother was a bystander that was trying to diffuse the situation when he was stabbed. I have to agree with mom25of5 we cannot know what is going on in another's mind. Just pray for our well being and put it all in God's hands. We need to make sure that each 24 hrs we are blessed with we are doing what God expects of us. We never know when God will call us home and we need to make sure we are doing work that we and He can be proud of. For me personally I will not kill/fight with another woman over a man whether it be a husband or boyfriend. They come, they go and defying God is not worth it and walking away doesn’t hurt anything but our pride and it can heal. If they are cheating they will have to answer for their actions. The only person that will never leave me is MY GOD and he cannot be taken away.

This whole world is in need of strong, continuous, and frequent PRAYER!Just when you think that things can't get any worse, something like this happens. It's a shame that we have to make choices everyday that could either prolong or end our lives.I truly feel for the children involved in this tragedy, and I pray for them.I lost my mother to violence when I was 10 years old,now I'm 43 and I can say that I know what these children are about to face. Not to know or feel a mother's love is not easy to live with.I sincerely pray that God puts someone in front of them that can lead those children to HIM.I did not have that and I made some pretty bad choices.I can say that from tragedy comes triumph and it can come to pass with GOD's help.Let's keep these children in our prayers..............

I really appreciate you guys and girls and the comments. It is so true that prayer changes things and we must pray. We must all get willing to be accountable for ourselves don't we. It is our actions that get us in the most trouble and if we would take time to ask God to do the guiding wouldn't there be a change. God bless all of you and use the events of your lives to help change things for the better.

The older I get the more vocal I get about news items. It amazes me that people can do some of the things that make news headlines. I wish that we could get over "political correctness" and maybe help stop some of this before it happens. You can't condone everything that happens or try to reason it finding something to blame it on. Some things need to be black and white and no gray. It would be no problem for me to see some folk pay for their crimes without making the rest of us feel guilty that they did. Just putting my two cents worth in.
