I don't agree with the part about God's wrath....in my opinion, Jesus died on the cross to absorb God's wrath...Jesus became sin and His death was for my sins. So when people speak of the "wrath of God", I have a hard time accepting that because my God is loving and just.....not a deity in the heavens who punishes by sending out wrath....

On the other hand, I do think that we have free will and the Bible clearly speaks of the "wages of sin" being "death". I feel like the US is responsible for its own plight due to its own sins....the persistent demoralization of our society...and that is our own fault...not God "punishing" us for our sins. But like I said, that is my reading of His Word....

I think Rev. Wright has an ax to grind with the US, as many black males do, but the place to do so is definitely not the pulpit...even if it is justifiable to grind the ax at all....
