I'm sure that you are excited about another big weekend of college football, but I hope you can join Mike Dubberly and yours truly tonight at 10:10 for "Sideline 2008"! We will be on air until 11:05 pm, bringing you high school football hi-lites from some ten counties. Our photographers are out in force to give some sixty teams air-time tonight- that's right: We will bring you hi-lites of thirty games complete with statewide scores.
Our "Game Of The Week?" We had some tough choices this week. Hewitt-Trussville visits Clay-Chalkville, Hueytown is at Jess Lanier, Hoover visits Homewood, Ashville is at St Clair County, and Cullman is at Walker County. But we chose the Spain Park-Pelham game, a contest that features some real talent like Spain Park's Darrius McMullin and Pelham's Alvin Hines II. Many of these kids played youth football together, and several players have transferred to either Pelham or Spain Park.
A heads up for tonight: Call in your score at 1-800-624-WBRC. Also, look, for "Sideline" segments tonight such as our MVP award, our Sideline Standout award, the Chelsea cheerleaders will be here, we profile the Oak Mountain Spirit Of The Cahaba Marching Band, we bring in our guest sportscaster, and we have another "Sideline Flashback", this week with former Woodlawn star Karlos Dansby. Also, we live-stream the show at MyFoxAl.com AND MyFoxSideline.com. It's all free, and it's there for you.
Enjoy this weekend's colleges games, and be sure to be with us Saturday night at 9:35 for "College Football Saturday." Yours truly, Paul Finebaum, Mike Dubberly and Sheldon Haygood will bring you hi-lites, breakdowns and commentary from the Alabama, Auburn and UAB games. We also tour the big SEC and national games. That's "College Football Saturday" from 9:35 to 10 pm here on Fox6.
See you on TV!
