What a total pail of B.S. that bailout, recession, and how the wealth is gonna be shared is that Bailout and recession equate to: 20% of people get to share the stolen tax payer money in the name of projects to construct, or research and development into something we already know, how to do, or have the cure for. While all along the remaining 80% of the people such as you and i continue to carry the Workload so the 20% can continue to steal taxes and share the collective tax payer wealth. Are you enjoying your $300.00 Stem-Mule-us check, as in WORK MULE. If your not then EXPRESS your unhappiness as often as you can. No Jefferson County Commission, even if you hold out a year with extensions, your Not going to get a Bailout with Stolen tax payer Money!

I personally don't understand what all the fright over this finance situation is. We can always turn our luxury and entertainment Crap back into Plows and become farmers again. After all, all we really need to survive is food, water, clothing, shelter, and whatever means of health care and transportation we can come up with. So i say don't worry, be Happy, and be ready to make some individual sacrafices when and if it comes to that. I know i can make it, especially and more so, if i have Someone to make it with!

That title may seem strange but let me tell you why. I've struggled all my life to try and keep up with an inflating economy to no avail. The older i got the worse it got, price of everything always keeps going up. I stay at home all the time anyway now and what little i do go is always a necessity that i go...It really does me good to see and hear all these people whining and complaining about something i tried to tell a lot of them to expect a long time ago, but they wouldn't listen. I really wish all of you the best but it sure can be a long hard road. Go out and buy yourself another pair of $150.00 a pair tennis shoes and try walking for awhile. Remember always put your best foot forward and for the spoiled one's if mommy and daddy can't buy your gas now try working two jobs. Best regards... RMM

Love that expression of surprise vlr. Really put me to thinking, i'm bout as lost as the only chocolate chip in a giant tolhouse cookie. With these soaring gas prices, food prices, and every other price i can think of, makes me think everything i want is slipping further and further away. I keep trying to find the answer as to what is at the root of all this economy crisis but there seems to be no simple answer. Everybody seems to be blaming everybody else, guess i'm gonna have to wait and see how it all turns out but it sure is ruff on my patience. Most of the time i feel like a blind duck looking for clues in the dark as to how to stay in contact.. with realty. Times like this i wish someone on the coast would adopt me and i had a sailboat and we had stores instead of oilrigs in the gulf, that way i could just sail around, sleep on the beach, and not care about these gas prices making everything go up. How is ever one else coping with all this economy downturn, i would sure like to hear some suggestions?

How to con-jure up a brew of Deceit and turn a 200 Million sewer project into a 3 Billion dollar debt. Simple, but yet complicated. The simple part, get together Greedy, Bankers, Representives, Lawers, Advisers, Politicians, Contractors, and a Few Secret ingredients. Put this all in a Holding tank for a decade and let simmer and brew. The complicated part, Put the results in a Language so complicated that no one but the Magicians can understand. Divert Public attention to other things and slowly leak Brew out as being everyone's fault and All County residents should be responsible for Paying the 3 Billion Debt off. That Lets the Magicians keep the Undue PROFIT and start gathering the next ingredients for the Next Majic Brew of Deceit. Maybe We do just live in a World of War-locks and Wit-ches after all.

Since the subject has come up on the news about the x-cess of the 1 cent school tax possibly being used for paying the sewer debt..i am curious as to whom has "axe-cess" to the "x-cess" of ALL the projects that taxes are RAISED for and what is the X amount of the Cess.. in x-cess used for.

If all the financial problems i am seeing talked about on the News is a JEFFERSON COUNTY problem, why is all the focus on the City of Birmingham? Where do all the other municipalities fit into the picture, after all that is where all the multi-million Dollar living goes on..Mountain Brook, Red Mountain, Hoover, just to mention a few. Also where is UAB and all its financial advisors hiding at, and Why is the Problem always utimately Passed down to the consumer tax payers to PAY. I think its because there are hidden reasons and only the back stabbing, consumer tax payer back riding, Psuedo riders, think they are the only ones who can figure out, their under the table fleecing of the the hard working people of Jefferson county. Be it known that when the Horses(tax paying Citizens) do wake up there will probably will be a stampede and the Psuedo Riders will probably be thrown off and trampled. There seems to be no end to propaganda.

What kind of Law do we have making it mandantory that all Pools must be covered when not in use. Is there a Fine or a Penalty for not having such a Law.? If there is not, then maybe there should be, and possibly no one would have to pay the ultimate penalty again! Just thought i'd throw this on my blog for something to think about.

If as an individual or a collective, you take a lot all year and give back only a little at christmas. you have NOT done a GOOD DEED. MERRY CHRISTMAS but a sad new year to the real givers because they are about to be ripped off again for another year. the takers just get to build bigger buildings and live in luxury while the real givers get to clean up their buildings and the mess.

if my memory serves me right there is something like a three billion dollar bond debt that the sewer works of b'ham owes. If this is ture and they do owe the debt who pays this debt, surely not the consumer and the tax payer who in this case happen to be one in the same.
