I got this email from my father and thought I'd share......very interesting.......

I'M NOT PUSHING ANY POLITICAL CHOICE HERE. I JUST FOUND THIS TO
BE AN EYE OPENER AND IT MADE ME THINK.

INTERESTING THOUGHT-- CAN A MUSLIM BE A MUSLIM-AMERICAN?

HERE IS AN EYE OPENER TO START OFF YOUR DAY... CAN A MUSLIM BE A
MUSLIM-AMERICAN? HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT -- IS MUSLIM-AMERICAN REALLY
AN OXYMORON? CAN A DEVOUT MUSLIM BE AN AMERICAN PATRIOT AND A LOYAL
CITIZEN?

I FORWARDED THAT QUESTION TO SOMEONE WHO WORKED IN SAUDI ARABIA FOR
20 YEARS. THE FOLLOWING IS HIS FORWARDED REPLY:

THEOLOGICALLY, NO. BECAUSE HIS ALLEGIANCE IS TO ALLAH, THE MOON
GOD OF ARABIA.

RELIGIOUSLY, NO. BECAUSE NO OTHER RELIGION IS ACCEPTED BY HIS
ALLAH EXCEPT ISLAM (QURAN, 2:256)

SCRIPTURALLY, NO. BECAUSE HIS ALLEGIANCE IS TO THE FIVE PILLARS OF
ISLAM AND THE QURAN (KORAN).

GEOGRAPHICALLY, NO. BECAUSE HIS ALLEGIANCE IS TO MECCA, TO WHICH HE TURNS IN PRAYER FIVE TIMES A DAY.

SOCIALLY, NO. BECAUSE HIS ALLEGIANCE TO ISLAM FORBIDS HIM TO MAKE
FRIENDS WITH CHRISTIANS OR JEWS.

POLITICALLY, NO. BECAUSE HE MUST SUBMIT TO THE MULLAH (SPIRITUAL
LEADERS), WHO TEACH ANNIHILATION OF ISRAEL AND DESTRUCTION OF
AMERICA, THE GREAT SATAN.

DOMESTICALLY, NO. BECAUSE HE IS INSTRUCTED TO MARRY FOUR WOMEN AND
BEAT AND SCOURGE HIS WIFE WHEN SHE DISOBEYS HIM (QURAN 4:34).

INTELLECTUALLY, NO. BECAUSE HE CANNOT ACCEPT THE AMERICAN
CONSTITUTION SINCE IT IS BASED ON BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES AND HE
BELIEVES THE BIBLE TO BE CORRUPT.

PHILOSOPHICALLY, NO. BECAUSE ISLAM, MUHAMMAD, AND THE QURAN DO NOT
ALLOW FREEDOM OF RELIGION AND EXPRESSION. DEMOCRACY AND ISLAM CANNOT
CO-EXIST.

EVERY MUSLIM GOVERNMENT IS EITHER DICTATORIAL OR AUTOCRATIC.

SPIRITUALLY, NO. BECAUSE WHEN WE DECLARE "ONE NATION UNDER GOD",
THE CHRISTIAN'S GOD IS LOVING AND KIND, WHILE ALLAH IS NEVER REFERRED
TO AS HEAVENLY FATHER, NOR IS HE EVER CALLED LOVE IN THE QURAN\'S 99
EXCELLENT NAMES.

THEREFORE AFTER MUCH STUDY AND DELIBERATION.... PERHAPS WE SHOULD
BE VERY SUSPICIOUS OF ALL MUSLIMS IN THIS COUNTRY? THEY OBVIOUSLY
CANNOT BE BOTH 'GOOD' MUSLIMS AND 'GOOD' AMERICANS. CALL IT WHAT YOU
WISH.....IT'S STILL THE TRUTH.

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF INTELLECTUALLY IN AGREEMENT WITH THE ABOVE
STATEMENTS, PERHAPS YOU WILL SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS. THE MORE
WHO UNDERSTAND THIS, THE BETTER IT WILL BE....FOR THE RELIGIOUS WAR
IS BIGGER AND MORE COMPLEX THAN MOST AMERICANS CURRENTLY KNOW OR
UNDERSTAND.

Sounds about right to me. The Bible says that no man can serve two masters.

I've known for years the ideology of Islam.
Only after 9/11 did many take notice of the evils of Islam.

I cringe when any of our leaders state that Islam is a religion of love.
I don't believe most Muslims have a slither of love in them, only hate and fear.

They fear Allah so much that it fills their heart and mind.
Most would kill their wife and children if they imagined it would please Allah.

The men care little of their own lives and are anxious to die in many cases. Allah has promised them great rewards in the after life.

The homicide bombers are proof of their hatred of their fellow Muslims and "Infidels".

They come to this country for a better life they say. Why then do they keep the yoke of oppression, their religion?

It would seem that the first thing they would do is to cast off that yoke and live free.

The fear of Allah is too strong I suppose and no love can ever surface, even for this country.

Europe is already collapsing under the weight of Muslims that have invaded most of the countries there.

World domination is their goal.

No, I doubt that they will ever become "True Americans" and someday we all will regret allowing these people to live among us.

Our Constitution will be our down fall.

The far left liberals will have gotten their wish, a destroyed America, and will regret it.

Who would have thought it?

No. I agree with what is in your original email Katie101. Also, I've just about had enough with hyphenated-Americans. We're all in this together. I don't consider myself Irish or Scottish or German-American, although that is my ancestry and I'm quite proud of it. I consider myself AMERICAN. Muslim-American is an oxymoron. By the way, love your posts.

Thanks Fargingbastige- I find that my way of thinking is starting to become more and more of the minority....ir scares me to visualize what kind of world my children will grow up in, if there will be any kind of world yet.....

I'm with you- I don't consider myself African-American. It takes too long to say, especially when I can say, in one syllable, that I'm black. I, for one, am fed up with the PC stuff-always trying to make sure we don't step on people's toes and make them feel good. Jesus stepped on toes all the time- remember the temple? His very appearance on Earth was a "blow" to His own people.

The Muslim debate goes back to the roots of Jacob and Esau and our dumb government has allowed our country to be infiltrated with them. I may sound a bit racist and discriminatory, but it is the truth. I'm just waiting on the day when public schools, as a whole, will be made to give mandatory "prayer time" to Muslim students so that they can do what they do....it's already happening in San Diego.

I hate to think that you posted this because you believe that Obama is a Muslim. If so your wrong and only trying to perpetuate hate and bigotry and I trust that Fox News didn't intend for this to be a forum for racist, bigots and hate mongers. We all realize that Fox News is Conservative, but I hope that they have not become a refuge for hated.

Our Constitution guarantees our right to worship as we please. We came from England escaping religious persecution and now some our facing it here again despite our Constitution which our young men and women our serving in our military to uphold and protect. Yet for what reason, for you to take away and persecute those that differ from you in their religious beliefs? Have you ever read the Qur'an or visited a Islamic Worship Center? Do, you might have your eyes opened and find that these are your neighbors, co-workers, teachers in your children's schools, and productive citizens.

I hope that your purpose here was to

Hi Harry. I would hate for you to think that as well because that would mean that you would be making an assumptions, and to make assumptions isn't a very wise thing to do.

It's almost comical that you would think that I would "perpetuate" bigotry and hatred against Mr. Obama, especially given the fact that I am a black woman; however, I guess it is possible for one to be prejudiced against his own race, but I do not wish to teeter on that topic.....

You are correct, sir- we are guaranteed our right to worship, but we are also entitled to free speech. I simply passed along an email to my fellow bloggers in order to give them something to think about- simply consider if it is possible for a Muslim to sincerely be a true American given their religious ideologies and belief systems. Our forefathers did come from England in the attempt religious persecution, but if my history lesson serves me correctly, they still served the same God. I have yet to see where the Christian God and the Muslim Allah are the same given that my God is one of love and Allah is a being who commands his followers to declare a jihad against non-Muslims....which leads me to my next point.....

Heck no, have I ever read the Koran or do I want to visit the islamic worship center.....I'm an infidel, remember? Why lead myself to fellowship with those whose "spiritual guide" teaches hate? Why fellowship with those who believe that my Jesus, God's Son, who became flesh, was merely a profit? No- I cannot attend that kind of a place sir because my Bible tells me to shun the very appearance of evil and fr

from what I have seen lately, those of the Muslim faith is the evil breathing and walking....

So next time when you want to assume that I've said something, please be aware that you are making a sincere mistake. Remember, the devil ASSUMED he had killed Jesus and figured that Jesus was gone forever.....only to find an empty tomb three days later......

The Qur'an does not teach hate and there God is no different than our God mearly just another name used. If you have read your Bible as you proclaim you have then you wouldn't take to the hated that you are writing. Why can't you see that of God in every person, for the same God that conceived you conceived our Muslim Brothers and Sisters. Your ignorance shows through load and clear. Nowonder your blog is numbered 101 just a beginner with a lot to learn. You may be Afro-American, but you have hated in your heart for these people and I don't feel this is the forum for it to be displayed. I guess I just "outed" you.

I was always taught not to keep dialogue with small-minded people, hence this is the end of dialogue with you....

Feel like "outing" me again, "Talknow"?

Any type of person has a right and the freedom to be an American. As much as you Christian extremists would like to believe, this country is not yours and yours alone. This country may be founded on certain principles that one could call Christian, but other religions (including Muslim) have those same principles.

I think you, Katie, have no idea what a Muslim is-- only what you've heard from equally ignorant people. And I am not a Muslim. I was raised Catholic, and now am an atheist. Personally, I have decided that the idea of an all-knowing god (or any type of god) is a hopeful fantasy.

And like it or not, I am an American. And a very good one at that. And so are you I may add! I just wish you were a bit more enlightened on other people's belief systems.

Well, Fairminded, thanks for your input as well as your assessment of my ignorance. I tend to find because I am an "extreme" Christian, it doesn't behoove me to become "enlightened" to other people's belief systems.

But as I said, thanks!

I agree with this statement completely, and I am not a racist, I believe everyone should be treated equally, but first they must prove their allegiance to America. Not come over here and take what we have to give, then blow us up.

To fairminded..... After 911... I don't care one iota about any raghead. Nuke the whole middle east and I wouldn't shed a tear. They teach hatred of Americans in every single Middle Eastern country. I know this for a fact. Since teaching kindergarten on up to hate the west, we can only expect the rest of our history to be filled with camel jockies in our face. How stupid are they anyway? You couldn't find 70 virgins on one continent, let alone any place else. I am sick and tired of passive attitudes towards people who hate america and attack without conscience.

Good (controversial) topic. I first saw it and thought, "Hey, I'm not gonna touch that with a ten-foot pole!" but, well, here I am. I thought I might as well offer my two pennies.

The short answer to the question is: Yes.
Strictly speaking, the only thing that makes a person a Muslim is his belief in the One God and the belief in Muhammad as the final prophet of God. And, in addition to faith, what is called "good works" is also a necessity for the believer. That's pretty much it--or at least what it should have been. But we can all see that this is not what "Islam" has become.

Much of what's called "Islam" has frankly become a monster in this world. Instead of being a boon to civilization as a whole, many who profess this so-called "Islam" have become diametrically opposed to it. What was once called a religion of peace has become a great evil, far removed from the notion of any sort of "good works."
How to revive it? I frankly don't know because I think the religion has died, or is dying, and most of what is left is an empty shell of dogma and ideology with little moral or spiritual substance left.

Katie101....I like you!!!

People can call us "extreme" christians if they want to, and yes, I'll take that as a compliment. People went to an extreme when they crucified Jesus on the cross. Someone obviously went to an extreme when they attacked our country, killing innocents lives on Sept 11th. Other countries went to an extreme when we fought wars in the past and many have died an extreme death for us to have the freedom we have today.

Therefore, this world hasn't even begun to see the extreme events that's coming, but they will soon.

Sorry if it offends other's that some of us are extreme christians, but we have a Lord and Savior who suffered a very extreme torture so that we can have eternal life. Jesus died for ALL of us, the least we can do is live for Him.

If you don't stand for something, you're liable to fall for anything...
