Energy is becoming more and more important as the days go by. So we were wondering what you thought about this one:

Which candidate has the best energy policy?

John McCain or Barack Obama - tell us what you think, and your comments may be used on FOX6 News!

After reviewing both plans, it appears that Obama and McCain had similar thoughts in April 2007. Both were in favor of a cap and trade policy for carbon credits. Both were in favor of the US giving incentives to companies for making environmentally friendly products. Eliminating our need for oil WAS a priority for BOTH campaigns. Obama has stuck to his guns and is still in support of this great change. McCain, on the other hand, was in support of the change, but then he changed his mind.

In 2007, he said, "Flexible-fuel vehicles aren't futuristic pie in the sky. We can easily deploy such technology today for less than $100 per vehicle; and we must develop the infrastructure necessary to take full advantage." He believed that for as little as $100 per vehicle, we could drastically reduce our dependance on oil. Further, he said, "Fifty percent of cars on the road are driven 25 miles a day or less" and right now tech. exists that allow cars to go 40 miles before it need to be pugged back in. Yet, today, he talks of spending, how much? How much will it take to get the infrastructure to get offshore drilling going? My bet is it will cost more than $100 per vehicle and will be outdated by the time they are up and running.

Just another example of a costly McCain flip-flop that leads to another 4 years of Bush.

Obama claims that offshore drilling will "not yield any results until 2017". I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that his staffers have done some research to reach the conclusion that 2017 will be 'the year' in which that will happen. That seems to be a rather immature and naive reason for not drilling. I guess he's in it for himself and if he can't do it in his potential four-year term, he's not going to do it. Of course he wants credit for it.

How about doing something because it's the right thing to do? How about looking beyond your own personal horizon? Where is your vision for the future? How about starting something now that can improve the standard of living long after you're gone?

Obama cites "change". I guess he's all for change if he can make it happen in four years; otherwise, why bother.

C'mon. McCain wants to do something bigger than himself for the benefit of all.

They are both stupid on energy. There is no "best", there is only bad vs communist. McCain is bad, Obama is a communist. Gotta love those choices!! YAY!!

I tell you what, go plug up your gas operated vehicle to an electric car pod and see what happens. Is the country in an uproar over needing more electricity? No, because we are a fuel based economy. Do it all, drill where we know we have oil, supply the demand while we develop nuclear energy and other alternative fuel sources. Lets stop being brainless. I'd rather someone flip / flop than to have their head stuck in the sand on issues that effect everyone. Doing nothing will only increase the problem.

I'd rather bet on Obama being a socialist more than a communist, but my money is for sure on the fact that he is a Muslim. McCain was my last of the conservative choices, but at least I know he is American.
