Republican or Democrat - these are the two biggest parties in the country. But there are other options. We were wondering what you thought about these other parties...

Would you ever vote for a third-party presidential candidate?

I would if the candidate was viable and had a chance of winning - and was a worthy candidate. I would not vote for a third-party candidate as a "protest vote".

Ross Perot 1992. As a third party candidate handed the election to Bill Clinton on a silver platter. I believe Bush would have taken it if Perot had not been there. I don't think we need anymore disasters of that magnitude.

I have been voting Libertarian for years . . . mostly as a "protest" vote against the status quo. I saw on TV Saturday that Bob Barr is now the LP presidential candidate.

Third party candidate? I think not. Every candidate and every party brings their own agenda. To have a third option will ot solve anything. Two options are easy enough - choose between the lesser of two evils(maybe good).

The third party has one function only, to throw the election in the direction of a pre- determined candidate of one of the two original parties
